It will flush

They may "fit" but those who have a Gen 1.5 kit on their Gen 1 and not have to readjust or re-3m their lips to stay on every few months is all by chance.

I know a few ppl who have the Gen1.5 on the Gen1 and their lips keep popping off due to the curvature of the lips. I know those who have this problem wouldnt want to point themselves out... i wouldnt... thats freakin embarassing!!!!

but again, its all by chance if you gen a Gen1.5 kit that will "sit flush" like how the Gen 1 is supposed to sit. If the Gen 1.5 kit fits the Gen 1, why do you need to drill in more holes???? of course i know the answer to this question... its to keep the center most part of the lips tucked inward into the bumper.... but all that pressure builds up and the 3m keeps popping off...

Im not trying to ruin any sales, I just want potential buyers to be aware of this... good luck with the group buy though guys!!

clarification, mine is not 'pure chance' nor coincidene that it flushes, I took it to a shop, to a professional (as i've repeatedly recommended) and after 3 yrs it still looks like day 1. Even if this was a Gen1 kit I'd recommend to take it to a shop as I do not see why anyone would trust M3 tape alone - maybe the first few months but come on, common sense. Bottom line, you cannot go the easy route, body kits need to be installed by people that know what they r doing (unless u own a civic )

I knew what i was doing and installed it myself... 3m stayed on for the entire time the kit was installed... no other "drilling screws to make it stay"...

then again my kit was a gen1

Guys seriously, who cares if you have to drill 2 damn holes to make it work?!?! Jesus H. Christ if you cant put 2 screws in your car then Im sorry to be so blunt, but you shouldnt be modifying it. If I could make the gen 1.5 kit the gen 1 with basic mechanical knowledge than anyone can, I have had it on for 2 months with not a single problem- the tape and screws are holding fine and everything is where it should be.

I was weary of having a kit that wasnt perfect when I ordered this as well guys, but it really does work just fine. If you have ever picked up a screw driver in your life then you will be able to install this kit.

Hey guys,

Just to answer some questions that have been asked.

1. There has been some concern about people getting ripped off for shipping. Here it is: I cant charge any less for shipping. The shipping is determined by Kaminari and I use their carrier. If they can use DHL, they will. If you dont like my shipping costs, get a carrier to pick it up from Kaminari and ship it to you. You would be responsible for $20-30 freight loading fee but you get to see exactly what the shipping is. I got the dimensions and weight directly from Kaminari so I assumed it was actually 45 lbs as they stated.

You dont have to buy a kit from me but I dont think there are any other retailers that are getting my discount at this time. If you can find it cheaper, then enjoy your money savings! If not, we are always here!

2. Shipping quotes will be provided by request with a zip code.

3. THe kit is a gen 1.5 specific kit BUT IT WILL FIT A GEN 1 fine. Its very easy to have it fit so dont be worried.

4. We can accept payment anytime either by credit card over the phone (678-429-3000) or by paypal (add 3%). We can take Master Card, Visa, and Discover. Sorry, no Amex.

The sooner you send payment, the sooner you receive your kit.

For those that are waiting on shipping quotes, I should have them early afternoon.

Thanks
-Kevin

dude seriously guys, Kevin is a great straight up honest guy.
Just deal with him. he isn't gonna lie or kiss your ass to buy his kit. He's just trying to help everyone out.
GET SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING (like posted) to put on the front valences. they WILL fit.

quit worrying and just pay the damn thing, or if not, don't worry about the shipping thing because like I stated, Kev (Xavier) is a straight up guy, he ain't gonna mess around with you or your time. He isn't trying to make money off you in any damn way, he's just trying to be a nice ass guy to hook you guys up. If you think there is another vendor out there, then hell... go for it, but I bet my left nut, you won't find one like him. (no i am not ass kissing, I just dealt business with him, and he worked it out 100%).. and trust me, I wouldn't bet my left nut for anything that I'm not positive of . soooo...

just my .02.

the gen 1.5 kit will fit on a gen 1. it's just how you install it. be smart and know where to put the extra screws. it will fit flush and stay on there. I've had my front valences on my car for 2 years now and I didnt even use 3m double sided tape. just used a total number of 5 screws on each valence.

Thats true, you can use the extra screws, just gotta be careful about the placement of the screws.
