Man, I was involved in an accident in my "Silver" Solara a month after purchasing it. Some extremely distracted woman with her annoying child illegally crossed my path and she just stood there like a cat waiting to get hit.

Thankfully, ABS worked and I only scratched my bumper and didn't hurt that much, but then again, that was enough for my ex-girlfriend to go berzerk on me (don't ask)... :agrue:\

Anyway, glad to hear nobody got hurt badly...

thanks all for the kind words...from what I can tell. i need:
1. Front bar (or whatever its really called) goes from fender to fender (not bumper thingie, but where radiator is hooked on to)
2. front bumper cover
3. front hood
4. rear bumper cover + support
5. TRD exhaust is cracked (eddie...your sprite commerical exhaust is no more)...the exhaust was cracked....so i might more rear end damage that front end....GEESH!
6. Grill (already have aftermarket one)
7. headlights
8. sidelights...

paint and labor......thinking if it all goes well..she will like rich (shamu number 2)...luckily the kit has been off the car for some time..so the kit is still perfect...the lowering of the car made the front bumper lower (doh!!!) which is why i went under the malibu....and which is also why my front airbags did not deploy...otherwise it would have certainly be totalled...right now we still don't know if it is or it isn't. But we didn't feel the 'impact' like the damage shows...solara are great accident cars...just hope none of you all figure it out personally...take my word for it....really strong and did what it was supposed to do.

Edit: i know some of you all asked what next if not solara...its too early for that...Its could be xb, Sienna, lx470????? just depends.....i want something that my business can also use for catering and something i can wrap up in tye-dye theme (if so)....or i may just get a yaris hatch and be done with it...??

Yeah, lets teach her a lesson! :evilbat:

I wish I had a semi and just ram her from behind and continue to do so in traffic (without hitting other cars, obviously) while she is jamming the brakes without result! Oh, add a train horn sounding off randomly as a side dish...

Then, as she comes to a stop all dissoriented, drop a baggie inside her car so the cops have a field day with her! They won't even mind you tagged her from behind...

Cars can be replaced. Good to know you're ok. Make sure you get a doctor to check you out.

as i have told three peeps on here, its called the radiator support. you get to memorize the name coz when u smack a post like i did, very soon u realize that its the most expensive single body unit on the car, esp for the gen 1

anywho, not suprised that they gon write it off total, but since they have declared that it wasn't part o' u in fault, your insurance should issue u with a rental ASAP.
problem is, they may not put put that mod stuff u added in the total reimbursments , since they'll say it wasnt covered, so my advice? sneak up at the yard sometime and pull all that shizzle out.

oh, and yes, she's in for alot...

i would think your ins co. would pay for your damage first, and then go after the other ins co. later. thus you avoid all the hussle.... adjustors... claim etc etc. UNLESS it was liability?
