Worth Tuning?

i really want that kaminari body kit though, do they come pre painted!? if so im all over that sh*t

I'm not sure if you can get the body kit painted, search for the kaminari thread.

dont i already have a sway bar? is the trd sway bar just for looks? or does it actually make a difference?

The TRD sway bar is much stiffer and has 2 settings - street and track.

any suggestions on a decently priced intake kit? and is there a difference between cold air and Short Ram?

You can really only buy a short ram (SRI). There was a company that did make the extension, called UPFD, but they're no longer making them. There's a guy selling his Injen SRI for $170 and his UPFD CAI extension for $70. Check out his thread: http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=34449
There's not a whole lot of difference between the SRI and CAI. IMO, the SRI is great for sucking up HOT air. That's why I choose to use the extension, to bring in colder air. Colder air = more HP. But, the other side to this would be the longer distance of air travel. You lose a bit on the low end, but it's worth it.

Just get a SRI, it'll suit you fine. Maybe later on you can decide if you want it. If you decide to do it, you can just buy aluminum tubing and make your own extension. That's what I did, it was much cheaper than buying the UPFD extension.

ebay intakes dont have the correct holes for the hoses..and the MAF sensor

and as far as performance of SRI and CAI...on the SRI most power came around 4k rpm and the CAI is at like 5k

SRI seemed to be louder too

That's pretty much it, everything else is if you feel the car is "lacking" in your taste. (Exhaust note, lip kit, some bottom end) Suspension you don't really need to get TOO crazy (sway bars, tough as nails struts/springs), a drop should do you just fine. But like someone else said, it's up to you. When really modifying a car, it's the final goals that you have for the car that determine how it will end up. Do you want a daily street car that's just above average, or do you want a trailer queen, or do you want a track monster, or do you want a fart can? As long as you're comfortable in YOUR car, it doesn't really matter.

For example, mine looks EXACTLY like yours with the addition of 23% tint. I personally believe the shifter is too long so I'm looking at a TWM short shifter, helps when you're merging onto the highway. I merge just fine when there's cars speeding, but it's nice to know that when I'm merging I'm a split second farther away from the guy behind me, on the highway when everyone's moving 55+ mph in the slow lane, it translates to a few extra feet of space to maneuver.

seriously. just sum up what everyone said to you here with their inputs, advice, and select some or all of the above to your liking, hell or even just keep your car the way you have now.

do what you want with it, as long as it's what you want. it's your car.

But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

the hose fix might make a difference for you. Do a search. If your car lags a little between when u press the pedal and when u go, hopefully that will help, and is free :)

as a street car, you could definetly make it a beast, you just have to go about getting the right parts and modifying the right way, i am not saying put it into a legalized race or anything, but for the streets, you could make it happen, it all depends on what you want, i have a 2004 solara and i blow guys out of the water whenever i race them and i am stock, you just gotta do things the right way or maybe even the unconventional way to get the power you need, holla

i have a rough estimate on what mounting/painting the kaminari body kit

chris cruz, pretty famous down here actually, is going to be doing the work.
www.chriscruz.com

around 700$

i dont plan on doing any performance work past intake and exhaust, any suggestions on a clean, watery, low sounding exhaust. i dont want a fart can and nothing too loud. once again that 350z sound

the rims are nokoyama shumaker 18's

thanks for all the input everyone!!
