Seat squeak - dealer solution - is it right?

I took my Solara in for an oil change a few days ago and pointed out to the service rep that my drivers side power seat is still squeaking. After checking the torque on all the bolts on the seat rail they decided that it was coming from the bottom portion of the seat, not the seat back. The service rep told me that they could wrap the cables in the seat with tape to stop the squeaking -- it usually worked with problems like mine. The only thing I know of that he could mean by cables would be the wire mesh stuff underneath the seat cushion.

Does this fix that the dealer told me about sound right?

I have an 02 Solara and I think that for the 01's there was a TSB regarding the drivers side seat rails squeaking. Aren't the revised seat rails supposed to already be on the 02 models?

not necessarily. sometimes toyota doesn't and just tells us to apply old TSB's to new models, within reason of course. but keep in mind that just b/c there's a TSB doesn't mean that it happens all that often. your car could be a fluke, who knows!
give it a try, have them wrap the cables or whatever. drive it for a while. if that doesn't work, bring it back and they'll probably order you a new seat. don't sweat it, let the warranty do its thing!
