yeah... I think that my tranny is holding my car back quite a bit... along w\ the stock headers and y pipe... I think that if I could swap the tranny out w\ some better tranny, my car would be a hardcore sleeper... and no one would know that its a lot faster than they think...

I talked to a local shop about swaping out my tranny for a manual, and they said that w\ the wiring harness, it won't accept it.. and it wouldn't run... is this some crap? or is this true? he told me to call TRD and see if they were going to have any kits out to stiffen up the bell housing to make it shift harder.. and I called and the dork at TRD said no... Is there anything that I can do w\ the auto tranny that I have, to get more umph out of it? other than a better torque converter, which would probably tear the tranny up?
someone please help
thanks

also, I used the search, and found that Levelten has an upgrade, but which one would be the one to get? and from jmousa or something, which torque converter would be the one to get, and also where to get a good tranny cooler?\
thanks again

That looks like the kit I have. That is about what I paid too. Thought that was a pretty good price to pay for a little piece of mind :). It looks like B&M is also in the business of making an active cooler kit.

Pretty crazy :).

My kit is just a passive radiator kit. The fluid just runs through it and is cooled by the air from the cars movement. The active kit is MUCH more expensive. I guess that the active kit might be worth it if you really run you transmission hard, but I really don’t know anything about it so I cannot say.

You can find loads of information @ http://www.bmracing.com
