Just like it says, I'm really just interested in the housing for the double height radios that bolt straight into Camry's and Solaras. So it doesn't need to work. But the ones that have the single DIN radio and a little storage compartment underneath are of no use to me.

So if you have replaced your radio with an aftermarket unit and the stock one is cluttering up your garage, this is your chance to get rid of it.

I will pay $10.00 plus shipping.

I can't pay any more than that otherwise I can just go to a local junkyard to get them. There are lots of Camrys out there and they have pretty much the same radios.

Right now I'm interested in Gen 1 and 1.5 Solara radios and those from the same model years of Camrys.

Thanks.

Do you want JBL or non-JBL? I have a JBL one, but the bare minimum I'll let that go for is $35+Shipping (considering it's worth $400-something brand new).

Don't know anything about the JBL. If it has a case that fits into the Solara dash, then I'm interested. But I bought one at a junkyard for $45.00 so I know I can just go to a junkyard to get them at that price. So I'm not interested in $35.00 +shipping. Thanks anyway.

I can just build the cases from scrap aluminum I have, but getting cheap, dead radios and using the cases, saves me a lot of fab time.

I answered this a while ago. Don't know what happened to the post. So here is goes again.

I am building car computers. I'm almost done with the one for my wife's Solara. I plan to build up a few more and sell them here. How many depends on level of interest.

You can see my progress at my website: www.ozone1000.com

Thanks Biggi_e. Always nice to have a little compliment every now and then.

Jakecallun, will the JBL bolt right into the Solara or does it need any special adapters?

Double Din.

I have a non JBL one. Some CD errors when reading, but otherwise functional. The difference is that JBL one does not have integrated amp - Non-JBL one does. But since your gutting it anyways, I'm not sure if you care.

PM me if you want it.

Cool avatar Solaraguy22.

I have two units in the works now which will hold me over for a while. I'd like to keep my cost down to $10.00 plus shipping. I'll contact you if I get desperate in the future.

I've actually been thinking about making the case from scratch. I can get the aluminum for free from the scrap bin where I work, but it is a lot of work and the radios fit perfectly, of course.

Thanks anyway.
