Replacing Rear 6x9's Or Subs...

Postby flipside » Wed Jul 18, 2007 10:57 am

I blew out my right rear 6x9 and the rattling is driving me crazy. I would like to know if I should just replace the two 6x9's or just get 2 12" subs for the back and just get rid of the 6x9's. Just need some oppinions.

System sounds great with sub(s) and front speakers only. However, the sound is mud for your rear passengers.

Overall, this is how I feel about the rear deck speakers in our cars... If you install a subwoofer AND replace your 6x9's, do not go crazy with top of the line speakers. I regret spending the money I did on expensive speakers that are for fill. (I keep my fader biased front for better "soundstage")

that happened to me too.. right rear 6x9 blew after I installed the avic-d3
so First I tried out by installing Rockford Fosgate single 12"
and there was a lot a bass and stuff but it sounded weak on the rear seat
so I put almani 6x9z and sounds much better

U should change either 6x9z or get6x9+sub
