What a difference this makes, and yes this is money well spent. It pulls even better and this barely cost anything. Plus nothing was negatively effected as far as rpm idle or sound, so the car feels normal until you punch it.
Midias wrote:OK I got the idle fixed part of the throttle rotor was keeping the plate open a little and thus making a high idle. It is not perfect now about 900 but I will see what it does. To fix it I had to grind the rotor a bit with my dremel here are some pics. I removed a little material where the green arrow and my finger are. I was worried about making the gap too big but upon inspection the original I noticed it does not touch at idle.
******EDIT******
Computer has kicked in and Idle is perfect

also, for the s\c guys, the area that allows the air to come into the S|C or the stock intake manifold...its the same size as the stock Throttle body...correct? so wouldnt that need to be adjusted as well?

That could be correct, but it's up to you whether that is worth it. I know that some have matched the supercharger ports to the heads so that it flows perfectly. For my purposes, I have no desire to spend any more money on something that involved. I did the throttle body because it was a cheap, easy, quick and worthwhile mod.
I forgot to give props to the man that took the first chance on this mod for Solara's....Thanks Greg!
