tranny cooler for manual trans!!!!
so i got a wild hair up my butt and finally installed the transmission cooler on my manual transmission. i have debated this for a while cuz i dont really think the fluid gets that hot, so i ran the crap outta my car today and it made a huge differance. way smoother shifts when the car is warmed up.FYI... i work at a transmiison shop and have knowledge in this area and think its worth doing. i just put a small cooler on it. one of the haynes coolers for smaller cars. i am using synthetic 75-90 in my trans.
Update.... today i heard that keeping the fluid cooler will prolong the life of your fluid which would be correct, although thats not what i was thinking about when i did this mod
i paid 35$ at my shop for the cooler. but i get a discount. i recoment the "haynes 1401 or 1402". i am using the the 1402
just thought i would put this up since i was takin pics down there
