i pretty much did what everybody said... had pliers hold in place the filter and then used a wrench and attempted... to rotate it right and loosen it.
Used a shitload of pb blaster over a span of an hour.
still no good.

either i buy an even better penetrating lubricant.. which i still doubt itd work.. or just take it to somebody to do it for me...

i almost did the same...but it came off right when I was ready to quit. have you stripped the nut? If so, I would definitely take it to a dealer and have them replace the nut and filter for you.

penetrating oil works well during a job....but for it to really work on things tht haven't been touched in years and years, you have to soak it for a couple of days for it to work effectively.

My mechanic pretty much gave up on it when I got my timing belt and full tune-up done.

I ended up going back to the dealer and returning the fuel filter.

well i called him and asked him about it.. while asking about my torque rod.

I followed what he said and it worked. It really had nothing to do with rust or anything or being old and worn out. It was just on there real tight because thats just how toyota does it.

So i got the two wrenches and i couldnt simply just pry it apart using my hands. I guess im just a weakling lol. I used the mechanical leverage of the two having the two wrenches real close together and got a screwdriver inbetween and just pried it apart and that worked out a lot better because they were working against each other in both directions. As opposed to having the pliers holding it still and trying to loosen it in one direction which is what i have been trying to do... kinda confusing i know.. but if ya need any help for future reference just hit me up...

thanks jim and whoever helped me out with this.
but yea just glad to finally have the fuel mod in.
