decided to go with the good -year belts too, doing a little searching. just as good qualitywise as the oems, and changed the serpentines too at the same time. hope they run as good

i'm lazy so i replaced mine at 134k with not a single problem. Generally for toyotas its around 100k, give or take 10k or so. All cars are different tho.

My dad has a sienna with our engine and hes has 179K w/o timing belts done and not one problem...

You can hear the difference at idle, the looseness of whatever you call it of the timing. the slip of whatever its really called - its still is fine....but for me that was one thing i know to do when its time...i rely on my ears.

I believe I read 90K as well. I did my wife's at about that and for what it's worth, the timing belt looked almost brand new. It was in very good shape.

If you can hear the difference, you have waited too long. I would never do that, because it means the belt is damaged and HOW it is damaged might be disasterous.

I don't want to call you a liar, but it if you hear your timing belt, then it is more likely you are hearing a timing belt pulley going bad. If it were actually the belt, then you were just lucky it didn't break.
