Some Intake Questions

Some Intake Questions

Postby Traceur » Fri Jul 27, 2007 8:52 am

so i just bought a injen sri, and im gearing up for the daunting task (being im not really handy with a wrench) of installing it.

i decided to take a look at what i was dealing with and turns out i have no clue what half this stuff is..
so if anyone could clue me into how i might install this, and/or what some of these things are, i would greatly appreciate it.

All the chords and wires and stuff hanging off this OEM intake

And what the hell is this fungus looking thing growing off the side of the intake?

That's your MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor. You keep that. What you don't keep is the hose itself. That gets replaced by the metal tubing from the intake.

:o Close the hood, drive to the store and request a refund for the intake, leave the car stock, until you are ready for a very simple task.

greg woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?

its an easy question, where do they go considering there are no mounts for them on the new intake?

and wtf greg i thought we were supposed to be helping each other out here, that was a really asshole thing to say.
