Going in tomorrow to pick up my new 08 SLE Convertible Solara! Black with tan top & leather... not my first choice in colors, but they are kinda slim pickins in Washington...

Thanks for the welcome! Great site, bookmarking it now...I'm trading in my 03 "Certified" SLE Convertible for this, I had the 03 for 2 whole days before problems started cropping up... Dealer is giving me full trade in value on the 03. Looong story... hope it has a happy ending!

You're going to enjoy this more than the old gen 1.5 anyway! :lol: just kidding guys!

When you say full trade in value, do you mean you are getting your money back, or more than what you paid? I hope more, but you should at least get a refund if they agree that the car has issues.

They are giving me my money back. I had to contact Toyota Corporate in Torrance, Ca. before the Dealer took action though. The convertible top leaked BIG TIME, windshield wipers failed, mismatched tires, etc...

I assume its got tan/beige leather intior then instead of black?

Sweet car. V6 or I4?

what options did you get?

Why did you choose the Solara, and what other cars were you looking at?

Yes, beige interior and top. It is the V6 with the HID lights, traction control. I was told it was special ordered for the Dealerships owner. I believe it is coming from a Dealer in Salem Oregon. I have had Toyotas my whole life. Never had a bad one... First convertible. Saw it, had to get one. They're STUNNING. I considered a Mustang rag top, but thought better of it because they're everywhere. Opted for the Solara cause they seem to be kinda rare in this area.
