hey guys, ever since i got the car there has been a buzzing noise, but unlike the others, its not when the car is over bumps or anything. it ONLY comes at 2000 rpm, and sounds like its coming from the right side of the car, but i could never find it. usually, it only comes in first and second gear, but ONLY when the engine is at 2000 rpm. and also there is a slighter noise at 1600 rpm near the center, but i think that is from the AC control knob not completely tight. i also noticed that when i roll the window down a little bit, the buzzing at 2000 rpm decreases, but doesnt go away. and keeping a hand on the window to absorb vibrations doesnt completely get rid of the noise eihter. anyone having similar issues?

that's the sound of your engine. turn the ingition key counter clock wise and the problem will go away.

:o heh... that was funny, but i had the same problem for a while too. It was something in the center console that vibrated when the engine was at a constant low rpm. I just started takeing things apart and when i put it back together it stopped?!? I might have tightened something up ... Other than that, dont know what to say

i just recently started messing around with cars, and let me assure you that it's not as hard as it seems. maybe it's because i'm an engineer and love working with electronics and have some experience, but i caught on really quickly.

just don't be afraid of your car. don't be stupid, either. make sure you take your time, and get plenty of advice from experts (like these guys :D ) the PEOPLE that work on cars are just that...PEOPLE. haha. they're not stinking magicians or anything, although, you could have fooled be just a few months ago.

on that note, as long as it's just some noise from something other than your engine, you're fine. for me, i'm getting noises exactly at 2900 rpm from my axle or when i turn hard. i think i fu%$ed up my axle when i hit a huge gaping pothole. it blew out my right front tire and threw off my alignment. i've got to take it to the dealer next week.

if you search for stuff in this forum, you'll be fine. taking apart the dash, the center console (where your radio and climate controls are)...those things are a cakewalk.

good luck man!
