[Feeler] 7pcs Lip Kits GoFastPerformance Pearl White

Postby Coconut » Sat Aug 04, 2007 7:24 am

I am still hesitant as to whether part out or sell it as-is. I have 7pcs lip kits originally bought from http://www.gofastperformance.com/produc ... ts_id=1857 a year ago, and were painted and installed on my car less than a month. There is a tiny (about an inch) crack however on the passenger lip.

Here are some pictures for the kits on my car:

Note that the kits color doesn't match well with the car color, as the car has sat under the Texas sun ever since I bough it in '02 ...

the tracer kit is fiberglass...good luck finding a buyer...your price will have to be very competitive, i think the last fiberglass kit on here sold for around $250.

No, they aren't. They are fiberglass made by GoFastPerformance.

I got the pearl white paint from the dealer ... I checked the color code prior to buying the paint.

I wouldn't bother taking them off the car ... if I were to sell them for less than I paid for the paint job a month ago.

^^yeah, thats the hard part about trying to part it out...it sucks, but thats just what they're worth. not many guys want fiberglass kits when we have polyurethane kits already available.

That's true.

What do you guys think a fair price would be for the car as-is? (more info. about the car; http://www.hammoudy.com/Solara/July/Solara.html )

you'd be better off parting it out...if you try to trade or sell the car as is, you wont get any better price for all the aftermarket parts you have installed. probably $6k give or take, then sell all the parts and you should come out ok.

I'll probably take off the tint, as it's 5% ...

hskrsolara,

Thanks. I wouldn't mind selling it as-is for $6K. I'll give it a shot in local newspapers & Auto Trader.
