Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

Anyone knows about speed-shifting?

you can pound any manual transmission into gear without the clutch and leaving the throttle down... I think personally its not worth the damage... speed shifting isn't really worth it either..

i had a FOAF that blew the engine in his 07 SI by misshifting from 6th to 2nd...

really, it has nothing to do with what we're talking about, but i thought it was funny as hell

now i can't really speak as to what he was thinking, but that's a LOT of gears to be missing on a downshift.

oh and i thought heel-toe was somewhat similar to double clutching, since you're revving up the engine in neutral (with the clutch out) to match speed of the clutch (maybe i got that backwards) with the ideal engagement speed.

i'm probably wrong, or at least, unable to articulate exactly what it is that i'm trying to describe....it's friday and 4:40...i'm ready to go home.

It kinda is, but you're not clutching twice. You just press the brake, clutch in, blip the throttle with your heel and then drop a gear. 6th to 2nd is pretty crazy lol... I missed a 4th to 5th once and put the Solara in 3rd. Fortunately I clutched in immediately and it didn't overrev.

Like everyone said, its pointless and harmful to your Solara ESPECIALLY if you're learning how to do it. In case you're wondering though, when you hold the shift knob you can almost feel how it wants to get out of gear when you're reving up high. It would be at that point you change gears while keeping your foot on the gas and pushing it to the next gear. AGAIN>>>DONT DO THIS!!!!!!
