higher redline with usable power after factory RL

Can anyone tell me a non-FI way to do this for my v6?...I understand about the comupter management part, but I want more power delivering to say almost 7K. In other words, how can I add power after the 5400 mark of usable power and extend it to upwards of 7K RPM.
This reads like a bunch of gibberish but I hope someone can understand it.
Thanks

The powerband ends at about the redline. Your torque does not stay at peak, it drops after it hits peak. If you were to go over redline, you would need to get some tuning done to change your power output peaks. If you were to just turn off the gas-cutoff, you'd lose power past the red point anyhow.

thats what i meant. Peak power drops after 5400, so fuel cutoff is irrevelant since there is no power after that anyways. I meant power after redline........

Toyota cars are not made for Hi-revving, or going past redline too far...

you want to spend ooodles and ooodles of $$$$ just to push your car's redline up?? why not just buy another car.

oh and as for the Mr6 "project" i do not know about it, so i would not know how to comment on that unless i read up on it, sounds interesting.

why dont you register a name on here?

further more, it is a project car correct? unless you are doing the same, i do not rec doing such thing for a daily driver

not to sure about all celicas, but the new body style gt-s's rev pretty damn high, i think redlining at 8!

hmm good point about celi's. but a good majority of toyota motors produced are made more for torque rather as to high rev like honda.

The RL was at 9 in 2000... at least I hear that it was

Some engines have a good torque curve and derive their hp from high revs, like the celica. while others have a overall nice torque band and have a low rl hp peak. the Solara is more of a daily driver than a "sports car" like the celica. Plus they are pushing it w/ the Celica... seeing that it's only 1.8 L... Toyota can easily make a high rev engine w/ high hp due to a higher compression ... but the wear caused would outweigh the purpose of the daily driver (avg age of Toyota buyer being 48!! yikes!)
