its praly you are low on fluid as much as i hate to say it..

now if its not that is it possible that your brake is loose enough that it might rattle around a bit??? aka tighten cable??

if not check the first!!!!

It might mean you need new pads. Do a visual inspection.

I ran into the same issue just a week ago. I checked the brake fluid and it was almost full. I barely added fluid but it was the fix to that. Guess my Lara likes to be full ;-)

^^^^
hahaha funny !

To go back to main topis, did you disconnect your battery and change the e-brake position while the battery was un-connected ?? If so it is your problem.

Example : if your e-brake is ON and you turn the battery to OFF then put e-brake OFF and put the battry ON...you will have a problem with the e-brake light for sur...it will detect to be ON when it's OFF. If the light is blonking maybe the sensor detect the edge ON/OFF

as stupid as it sounds, i've been in this scenario before, i assumed it was my pads, then my rotors..and i knew all was well...then just for the heck i added some fluid..and wolla! the light went away...try it out and let us know what happens.

i had a lit up BRAKE light for a while. then it suddenly went off (i knew it wasn't rotors/pads in this case, since i had just changed them). but after about 2 weeks, the problem corrected itself.

everyone was suggesting brake fluid for that too...i'd say it's a reasonable place to start
