What kind of plugs do I need? (V6 1MZ-FE) and is there actually 6 of them? or just 3? And any recommendations on plug wires? Thanks.

denso is a popular choice (also, denso is who makes our OEM parts), IK22's for forced induction (supercharged), and IK20's for natural aspiration. i use the IK20's and saw a slight increase in gas milage (which i don't know if they were changed before or what, but the one's i pulled out were also denso's....but not the IK20's)

if you want to go with something different, check previous posts (use search function, even though it sucks), as i remember reading some other people around here diverging from the herd

there are 6 plugs, three in front, and three in the back (facing the firewall) the three in the front are under those clip things, and the wires detach/attach there and then go to the "back" of the block, where the other three are located.

i can't really make a personal reccomentation on wires since i already forgot what brand i got when i changed mine. lots of people around here swear by the magnacore 7.5 wires (i don't know the specs or part#).

that's my $0.02

I'm not ready to change them yet, but in about 2 or 3k more I will with oil, Just curious what kind I needed or anything special. I noticed a tag on the hood underside that said something about 2 clips on the end? Any response on that?

uh.. well the dual nodes is recommended.. but personally, I think its stupid... because then one node is used sometimes, and the other at different times... eventually one will be used over the other, and the one not being used will get covered in crap and never work anyway.. thus leaving you with a spark plug with one node.

True that. Its not like it makes more than one spark. I prefer the single ground iridiums to the stock double ground platinums.
