wondering if anyone here has had to change their steering wheel wrap. mine's worn and am not really into those cover things, so is it possible to get a replacement 'oem' type wrap and stitch it ??,

I think there is a beige (assuming your interior is beige like mine) wrap kit available at autozone or any auto store. It wraps your wheel, and you string it up. I had one in my S-10.

^I don't think that's what he had in mind... Looks too much like it should be handled by an old grandma, and equally ugly, especially when the plastic fades down to white or gets shifted... I used to have that on my Buick, and quite frankly I've much rather put up with the steering wheel being too thin since I tossed it in the end.

Lol thats the only thing I know of for the worn down wheel. w/o buying a whole new wheel.

thanks guys. i just thought there has to be a way to replace just the cover as jake said, but still a clean finish is what i would be looking for.
besides, changing the whole wheel is probably a pain .

your best bet is to change the whole wheel..
buy one of those aftermarket wheels and a adapter.. :evilbat:

yeah my wheel is gettin there too, 140k miles... I want to replace it anyways. I don't like air bags.

probabaly get one of the wood-leather lexus/avalon ones. oh-well
will be keeping the airbag though. man safety for me....
