Thanks to Greg for opening my eye's to this...

Here's pics of the install, took all weekend. Hardest thing to do was to figure out where the hell to mount everything. Plus we needed some more 1/4" tubing.

FYI, for whoever wants to do this for this particular meth-injection kit from Snow Performance (Stage 2 MAF Boost Cooler), the 5 volt wire that you need to tap into is Pink (there you go Milt) and since you need to find a 12 volt key on source, I used the EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) fuse from the fuse panel in the engine compartment.

what exactly does meth-injection do? is it like something related to the principles of nitrous?

Jeff - straight from Snow Performance:

"In gasoline engines, as with any intercooler, this suppresses detonation so more power producing boost and timing can be utilized. Water, with its high latent heat of vaporization cools the intake charge and combustion. Methanol cools the charge and combustion but also acts like an extremely high octane fuel (some researchers claim as high as 120 octane) as well as adding more oxygen to combustion."

^^you can adjust the little computer to tell the pump when to come on. taping into the MAF sensor wire allows to change at what voltage to bring it on (in my case, adjusting the voltage based on what boost i'm reading). It'll only come on when i really get on it and based on how aggressive you drive, determine's how much you have to fill up the reservoir.

This is also something you'll need to dyno, something I haven't done yet.

i'd do something like that but i think its a tad bit to risky. Something about shooting water/methanol into my engine doesnt sound to pleasing to me =\

my issue with Meth injection is that if you tune according to the injection system working correctly, then if the methanol tank gets empty, or pump shuts off, you blow your motor or if not that do some heavy damage.

I'll be running a 50/50 mix, which I'll have reduce my A/F ratio numbers by .5 as a result. I can also play with my timing, but never done that before.

And I understand about the whole reservoir going empty and now all of a sudden you could start doing damage, but I figured I'd just keep an extra gallon in the trunk in case I ever get that "low" light. Plus I can tell the pump when to come on (mine will come on at about 1psi to 6psi), so if I know the tank is empty, I'll just make sure I don't hit boost.

just got back from the dyno shop....made an extra 15 HP and an extra 20 lbs. of TQ and the numbers kept growing with each pull, but we stopped after our 3rd pull since it was hot ~ 95. Didn't need to change the A/F ratio at all, it was pretty much dead-on and third gear pulls ridiculous now. I had him record my highest knock ping at full throttle, highest it got to was 63, which is awesome considering I use to be sitting around 30 at idle with this heat.

So did you use a boost solenoid to activate the injection then? And did you end up using the MAF sensor wire at all?
