'00 SLE JBL System....Weak???

Postby BigDaddyJ » Fri Jun 13, 2003 8:58 am

Hey all,
I picked up my Solara used and am wondering if anyone has the '00 JBL system...and if so is the bass really weak? Mine has great sound quality, however is still missing that low end kick. Is this just how these systems are? Thanks for your help!

Well of course a stock system will be limited in its features but the JBL system is one of the better ones on the market. Have you tried adjusting the bass through the Headunit? Also there is no subwoofer in the system so you are relying on your JBL 6 x 9s mainly to produce the bass

I could make my mirror shake even with the stock system. The previous owner might have had a system in it and put a bass block on the 6x9s... but if they had done that they probably would have taken those off with the system. I assume you've checked the bass on the deck?

My rearview shakes w/ oem :D

Bass: 4 Mid: 4 Treb: 5 Bal: 0 Fad: 0 8) but I wish we knew what "level" our volume was at... it sort of bothers me that it just turns and reaches a peak and stops going louder w/o me knowing how close to the peak I am
-_-

But yea... jbl option power!! :P
