Something hit me!

Something hit me!

I was driving down the road the other night and something hit my passenger door. I think somebody threw something but it was dark and so I don't know. Anyway, it didn't leave a dent but it looks like it should have. The paint kind of spiderwebbed out from where it hit and it looks real ugly. Could something like that be fixed with touchup paint or will I have to get the door repainted? Any idea on how much a repaint of the door might cost?

If the hit was hard enough to cause a spiderwed in the paint I can't believe it didn't cause a dent but that's good.
Try using a good quality polish on the spiderweb area and go over it 2 or 3 times before thinking about getting the door repainted.[/quote]

The part that is spider webbed is down to metal. Would touch up paint work if I thinned it out?
