hey TXSolaraSLE .. with 18's depending on the tire size ur speedo should be around 13% off i thnik... either way you go 70 and it would read about 60 ... so i bet u where going faster than 130. :o

That is not true. When you goto a larger tire, it says you are going 50 and you're really doing 45. Also the change is not that drastic considering with 18s you put on low profile tires. my stock 205/55/16 are the exact same height as my 225/45/17

I think it's the other way around.

yeah, yanks is right. even though i went up to a larger rim, my overall tire diameter actually decreased a little bit. This website http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html tells you speedo error. In my case, for every 45 mph, my speedo says i'm 1mph faster. The only bad thing about this is i'm putting like 2% more miles on my odometer than i really travel...ahh, the price of rolling on purty 18's!

I stand corrected. swimshady906 was correct in principal but the change is no where near as drastic as described

that was just bad wording on yanks part
moving to a larger overall diameter than stock and youll be goin faster than your speedo says
