New Rims

I finally did it. Have been looking for some time and finally settled on Rial Porto rims 7 x 16. Still using my 225x55x16 Toyo Proxis 4 tires. Had a small initial problem in that the tires rubbed the rear struts. Purchased Ichiba 5mm wheel spacers that are specifically made for the my Solara and longer studs and everything is perfect. If I had gone for 17 inch Portos they would have been a direct fit. I wanted to keep my basically new tires.

not too bad. very subtle. I like, would've gone bigger size but I understand why you wanted to keep your new tires.
looking great man, I like the tread pattern on those tires.

Wow - I really like those!

Wonder what 20's on a Gen 2 might look like? I mean for real - not the silly TireRack pics! ;)

Thanks for your comments. I didn't think the cost was too bad at about $150 each. They also come with a black accent which was a consideration. Another choice for me were the Como's. In the end I got what I got.

My 225's didn't rub at all with my stock rims and only because of the off set of the Porto 16" rims, the tires rubbed. All taken care of by the Ochiba spacers. They are not cheap but they are specific to the Solara and are hubcentric. Highly recommend them!!!
