Will the 2002 front end bumper fit on my 99?

Yes it will, but its a whole front end conversion. You would need a new grill, headlights, and bumper

Ray, parts for the whole conversion will cost you roughly $1,800 not including labor or paint.

Damn, didn't take all of that into consideration. See, my car got hit on the front passenger side, leaving me with a busted fog light, cracked bumper, broken winshield washer fluid tank a half-broken headlight and a $1200 bill (as quoted by the local Toyota dealership) so I wanted to see how much more it would be to upgrade to '02 parts ($600 difference is a bit much though). Anyways, thanks for the help, it's very much appreciated.

It's easier to just get the 02 and slap on some old rear lights =P

I've always thought the '02 > the '99 as far as appearance goes (tail and fog lights especially).

tail lights are just plug and play but the front requires a whole conversion. Next time u have a chance compare the gen 1 and gen 1.5. The front is completely different

Sometimes you can get a deal (sometimes). But for that to happen you are looking at a very unique scenario, where a junker solara was hit at the tail (rear-ended)..and the front is intact...preferable 02 or 03...then if you go that route...you could knock a few hundred bucks...but it all depends on what colours are available...and if they match your car (knock more $$ off). My guess would be for you to have a walk through local junk yards that store imports and see what happens...good luck!
