The wheels are a 17" 5-spoke design by Forte.

Image

Rim size is 17 X 7
5-lug Universal bolt pattern
Fits 5 X 100 and 5 X 114.3
Offset is 48.
Hub Diameter is 74.

Will this fit a 2003 Solara?

Thanks.

you are comming offly close to rubbing the strut shaft. it would be better if it were 45-38 offset....

depending on what tire is used, you might be ok.

Thanks TRDMole. The tires are either going to be 225/55, 215/55, 225/50, or 215/50. Not sure yet though.

Would like to get more responses..

If the offset is 48 with the 225 or the 215 your going to Rub.... with a 45 or 46 offset your coming really close. i would recommend that you get a 2mm or 3mm spacer before you install the rims.

I have a set of 45offset and i am really close with the 225 tires.

It will rubb...

I have 17x7 +40 and it doesn't have much space for strut clearance.

Spacers eat up some of the available threads for the lug nut. Instead of possibly getting 10 full turns, you may only get 6-7. This means more stress on both the lugs and the nuts. Some people have stripped their lugs or lug nuts.

We've had an exntensive discussion about spacers so please use the search function

Try not to use spacer if possible....

Hub centric is the way.

Offset Question

Postby Darren » Mon Jul 07, 2003 4:28 pm

How does offset work. If I understand correctly it measures how a wheel will fit in relation to the frame, but I am not sure how it works. Is it the lesser or greater the offset that determines the widest stance? And what is the widest offset that you would recomend? If it helps I am looking for 18x7.5 wheels no decisions on tires yet I want to find the right wheels first.
