Headlights

follow up on the bulbs...

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

These 70/65 watt bulbs are fantastic. They more than make up for the otherwise crappy design of the gen 1 solara's 9003 reflector headlight housing. These bulbs make silverstars look like flashlights. The big jump in lumens is very noticable despite a relatively small increase in wattage.

I think the wattage I got is perfect. I feel the 85/80 watt bulbs will be overkill. It may look like daytime in front of your car but everyone else on the road will hate you.

yeah 70/65 hyper - i think they look whiter than stock, they are certainly a hell of a lot brighter.

I agree!!! I just got mine in and wow. I got the Xenon XP and they have the purple coating. They are defiantly brighter than stock with a little purple look. Thanks for the suggestion!

now if i could only figure out why my passenger side light projects a tight beam while the driver side is more diffused... anyone else notice this? is this done by design?

do me a favor and switch the bulbs. if the problem switches to passenger side, its a bulb thing. If it doesn't, its your drivers side lens. Maybe its more yellow or has somehow gotten condensation?
