Phillips 9006 8000K HID Conversion

Postby indiglosolara » Fri Jun 20, 2003 5:15 pm

Hey wasup,

i have been searching the Web for the Phillips 90006 8000K HID Conversion.

I know someone that can get these for about $400 and i was thinking about getting them..

but i wanted to see what you guys/ladies think.

My headlights are the 9006 and the kit im getting is already made for 9006 headlights. I know that our headlight housing is not made for HID but with it being 8000K would it make a difference if i now have the 4000K Silverstars. Besides the color being different. i want my headlights to be a little bit brighter then they are now.

Any insight on this is greatly apreciated.

Thanks

Kenny

First, 8000k is the color temperature, the brightest is around 4300k, it emits way more light.

Second, halogen bulb housing with HID won't be THAT bright compared to HID with projector housing.

yes i had a feeling that it being 8000K wont make a different except for the color difference in temperature.

I guess the 4000K silver stars will do fine.

better not to waste $400 bucks on something that is not going to make much of a difference.
