Tire Aspect Ratio

Tire Aspect Ratio

Postby Ransom8707 » Tue Sep 04, 2007 9:00 pm

I wanted to know the average tire Aspect Ratio that everybody is driving since I have Falken Azenis tires size 225/35/19.

But the only problem I have is that I live around a rebuilding construction streets and im having a hardtime with every bump or little hole I go through since its really rough on the wheels and car and im not tryin to chip my wheels (already did once  ) or cause damage to the car. So I wanted to know how much Tire height is everybody in here driving on? so I can get atleast an idea on what tires I should purchase next.

If you have anything but smooth roads, your 35/19's are going to feel it.

225/40/18 @ 40psi. if your pressure isn't that high, it might be worth a shot to try to increase the pressure up to around 40. If nothing else, it will give you more air between your rim and the road.

one thing bro. thats a very broad question to ask. even with every place having construction, everyone has their own reasons as to having the kind of tires that they have on their rides..
I wont say what size tires I have cuz car is under construction :]
I think most of us actually run 18s tho man, not 19s. ask Reggie (NVDIS1) . he's one of the few guys that has the 19s on.. plus a few other ppl but they aren't ont he boards as much.

dont know much but a simple thing is to check tire pressure, make sure enough air is in there. more air, more distance between rim and road, thus.. less .. bumpyness.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

Well I did increase the pressure to 40 but no the same problem. The only reason im riding on this tired right now is because it they came with the wheels so im just running on em meanwhile I bought different tires but I knew that had to replace 'em soon. Thats why I tought I should atleast get an average on how much people are driving on . Ya should drive your cars down here in Houston so you can have a feel of the roads.

I have 225/45/17 and their not bad on some roads.
I usually remember what roads to avoid on my daily drive around the city, like little bumps and potholes.

225/35 19" It's a lil bumpy, but i dont expect a Cadillac ride with a 19" wheel either..... :)
I was thinking of going to a 40-series tire, but i dont have any rub/scrub now, and i'd hate to have to worry about it.

Could have knocked the car out of alignment..
Or possibly thown a weight from a wheel..
Or bent a wheel :bleep2:

I've bent one before - but with 18" wheels on my gen2 camry - def caused a bit of shaking at various speeds.

Well thats what I really tought since if you really took a look at the rear left wheel you can barely see that the wheels is sorta sticking out from one end and the other end on the inside would that have cost the problem? :-? but its not that noticeable you really have to take a really close look to spot it

I dont think it would be something you'd be able to "see" without the proper machinery.
Most alignments in my area run from 40-75 bucks.
You may want to put the stocks back on tho... some alignment racks aren't aftermarket wheel friendly.
