Custom Exhaust Recommendations???

I just bought a Magnaflow Muffler(14854) and I want to do a customNA cat- back set up for my 03 Solara SLE V6. Now, should I go for a 2.5" piping or bigger? Also, I really have no plans on running catalytic converters and I was wondering if any company sell some sort of a CEL Fix for Solaras? Third, where can I buy a direct bolt on Header System and Catless Y-Pipes?

Any recommendations would help alot.

I have a Dat's ypipe that needs work (if u know a shop that does welding), i have the testpipe for it too so u dont have to run a cat....i ALSO have the o2 Sensor simulator so u dont get a Check engine light.

where can i get a brand new dats y-pipe and the catless test pipes? also, i want headers too...

and as for a BRAND new one, i doubt u can find one, only a few handfull were made...

as for the test pipe, i have one if u want it....and headers, the only Decent Headers ive seen, were the ebay headers Minus the ypipe, or the ultimate, rape ur wallet headers/ypipe combo from JPP. (its 1699 or so for the headers/ypipe from JPP). But very, very much worth it!

the one i have installed is the bottom one, the one i have for sale is the top one.

if u want it, u can have it for $100 flat. Picked up tho.....

and here is my dyno sheet with the new ypipe installed, and also, please note i had pre-cats, i used non-precat headers, so that is also a reason for the jump in the power band!

and as for the ypipe, it needs work, thats why im selling it for $100 flat. The rear header piece has a small pipe that, is the same size as the diameter of the headers but still should be shaved down or removed....

damn sh*t seems like alot of work has to be done in order to do a custom exhaust for the solaras...i wish it was like my wrx where i just bought a bunch of catless headers, catless downpipe and bolts right in...

Well Im going to buy the headers with the test pipe from ebay now pair it up with a custom 2.5" piping and the magnaflow muffler...u got alot of stuff done to ur car? I just finished buying all my stereo stuff...so im moving to the body and the engine now...

Those headers, as i was told by a Custom Fab shop, look really nice and are made of quality steel (T-304). Ur going the right route so far tho, the ypipe that comes with the ebay headers, is basically crap, its the same design as ur stock ypipe...so yea get a custom pipe for that.

Oh, forgot to mention, ur going to need to take the rear header to a custom fab shop to drill a hole and weld in a o2 sensor bung for u, because it does not have one on there, it only has the EGR fittment port.


U will still need a o2 sensor simulator so let me know if u do.

ur 02 sim is new? where did u get ur installation done?

the o2 simulator is like new, what it does is connect to the ECU, i have the directions and watever.


and as for install, installtion for wat...the o2 simulator? if so, then i did it myself. Its 3 wires.

two shops, 1) my friend's Gas station, but we had a few glitches in the install and the place didnt have a welder so i drove the car to the Custom Fab shop...about 15 miles or so away, with the ypipe bolted up barely, no cat, and the greddy exhaust system just hangin on for its life lol.


so, 2 shops. the second shop does NOT do street cars and will not take in street cars, they ONLY do Drag cars, i dont know how i convinced them to take my car in...haha
