interesting thought... has anyone ever looked into swapping a Lexus ls430 motor into a lara? i dont know the exact engine technical name, its from a 96 lc430.. i dont think there were mulitple motors offered that year.. could be wrong.. but get back to me. could be an interesting summer project if its doable

FWD platform + RWD motor = gigantic hassle that's most likely not worth it in the end.

And also, the LS430 did not exist in '96, it was introduced in '01

If you want to swap the motor with something that packs more power, I'd probably look for the Nissan VQ35DE that's in the V6 Altima sedan/coupe but that's a hell of a lot of work involved, especially with the ECM, transmission and all that. I think modern cars make engine swaps harder/impossible.

4.3L V8 = 3UZ-FE. Found in the LS430, SC430, GS430. For the most part, Replaced the 4.0L V8 1UZ-FE in the LS400, SC400, GS400
