New Grill

Postby jello » Mon Jun 23, 2003 11:50 am

Today I went out and made a mesh grill for my solara. It goes over the bars so you do not have to cut anything. It can be attatched a few different ways. I will post pictures later today when i borrow my friends camra. If you guys like it I can make more ( using my car as the mold).

Ill keep you informed.

IMO, the grilles where you have to cut out the vertical plastic looks a lot better... but wutever floats your boat

Maybe it is better that way if you intend to sell the car... but in that case why bother fixing it up anyway... might as well go all the way!!

i went to the auto body shop today cuz i tried makin my own mesh grill and messed up the chrome part around the stock grill, and the shop wanted 200 bucks to make the mesh grill for me. i think that was insane. We definantly need sumeone to make us grills at an affordable price.

FLASH, the grill on your car looks great, where did you get the mesh and how much was it. Cause I heard a lot of people that have done the same grills get their mesh from like home depot, but some how I have been unsuccessful at finding the right type of mesh there.

Home Depot! Go in and ask where you can find gutter mesh, it comes in a 5 pack or so. I also chromed mine with bumper chrome spray, applying roughly 5 coats.
