Vandalism sux... I had a window broken on my 'lara just to break it.

My wife's car was broken into twice, once for the owners manual, and once again because they thought her lunch bag was a purse.

That sucks. I had a car broken into at school once-with tinted windows, with a high end alarm. Luckily all they got was one stiffening cap, everything else was bolted down.

At least all you have to fix is a window, you got lucky.

A Marboro ciggarette Ad I once saw featured horses running on water, thats what that first pic reminded me of.

What ever made you drive through that water?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry to hear about the car though, at least it is still in your hands. :(

I actually seen worse too, like this one time I saw a Honda Civic sitting on rocks, the car looked like it could have fall off the rocks anytime. All its rims were stolen and that car was parked right on its owners' driveway. :( The Civic was parked in a bad neighborhood.

first pic was taken after the first major rain of this year, i got a bit excited and made a 2 story high spalsh with my solara.

The break in is the 4th time this year, first three they went for the corolla. I'm going broke.

New rear side window quote came back to be $600+ (no crap)

Used one with installation comes to be about $170

do you guys think it's reasonable at $170? I'm thinking about going to the local junkyard to get one and have it installed for about $40. How much do you guys think I have to pay at a junkyard?

I had my small window broken in my old Accord. I found one at a salvage yard and went to a shop to get it put in. They said they could, but not guarantee anything because evidently the window has to be sort of bent to get it back in (and the window might break). I ended up doing it myself. What a PITA. Good luck.
