just got my HIDs today and put them... very simple but took my time to make sure all was right... cost too much to just rush
anyway, i got the 8000k bulbs... yuk! they are way too blue! wish i would have gotten the 6000k now.. just to let those who are going to get some know, get the brighter 6000k or lower!

one of the ones on ebay.. i think the name is xentec.. and they are more blue that the chart above.. dont get me wrong, they look alright and light up the road, just not as bright as OE HIDs and up to 6000k..
im thinking they are more like 9000k or so.. just too blue.. i sent the seller an email asking if he would switch the bulbs, even if i have to pay a lil.. probly have to buy the new bulbs to just to get it, but it would be cheaper just to buy another kit

$80 shippd... yep, it was generic, but looks great for what it is
it was my fault.. i told him 8000k thinking it would be lighter like my old hyper white bulbs... i think i am going to get another kit anyway for my SE-R (same size bulbs H4s) and just get the 6000k for it and swap them around.. i dont drive my Se-R that much and even less at night

Yeah you should've asked us first man.
Usually for HID kits you want to go around 5000K or 6000K.

nah, i got a great deal on it.. love the car.. excellent shape.. the owner lived out in no where and couldnt get a buyer with only 100 people living in his town
i was actually looking at Volvos when i stumbled across it.
my dad bought his Infinit I35 on ebay 2 years.. no problems with it other than an Alternator and rear struts (bad roads around here).
A friend of his bought a 00 Altima.. another good deal no problems...
your at risk no matter where ya buy a car tho

5300 is the best. 6000 is more show then useful.

Ive been using the cheap ebay brand for all my projector projects lately and not one has failed on me and its been over a year now.

Sometime the term you get what you pay for really is true.. Cheap and good :)

is 5300 the same as what you might find in the Lexus and BMW etc?
i was thinking that maybe they were more 6000k?
