New SAFCII Location, after a long mod!

So i got tired of putting the safcII up on the dash and then taking it off since the sun would beat on it if i left it out on the dash, so i routed it into the Sunglass holder compartment uptop on the headliner. Took my sunglass holder door off and replaced it with the Homelink door, that i used a dremel on and fit a Plexi Glass window into, cause all i need to see the safcII for is the knock sensor reading, the rest is done by itself.

I think it would look better in your sunglass holder.
This isn't mine but I always thought I would duplicate it.
Someone did an awesome job.

Yes, that looks good, but is not practical...

1) With the door down like that, i can not see the rear view mirror correctly to see any cars in the back, i have to duck and crap.

2) all i need to read from the SAFCII rite now is the Knock sensor readings.

SO, with the mod i did, the door can stay closed, and allow me to view the safcII thru the window.

gonna play with diffrent options, maybe instead of putting the glass behind the cut out in the door, ill try to put the glass in the cut out, so its flush...if not ill try to find a rubber lining...we'll see.

Ask Reggie (NVDIS1) for pics of his. I remember seeing his mounted inside where his Homelink used to be.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.
