ANOTHER INTAKE QUESTION?

I'M ON A DEBATE ON WHETHER SPENDING $400 ON A CP-E INTAKE OR JUST MODIFYING MY STOCK AIR BOX BY REMOVING THE AIR SILENCER, INSTALL K&N AIR FILTER, CHANGE THAT BIG BLACK TUBING THAT CONNECTS TO THE THROTTLE BODY WITH A SAMCO UNIT...WHAT DO U GUYS THINK...I MEAN THE STOCK AIR BOX IS A COLD UNIT ALREADY....

do you want something with sound? or something with performance?
cpe. im saving up for that.

stock air box is a cold unit already..... but less airflow??
why not get cpe and extend piping down to foglight to make it super cold :drinking:
hahaha

i'd get the cpe.

But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

you could always swiss cheese drill the bottom of the airbox...

i custom did mine, but also had a large window of time to work on mine...meaning i was able to work on it for about two and a half weeks, without having to actually go out and rent a car to satisfy my daily driving needs (i was also changing my brakes and waiting for the parts to arrive).

for the money and time invested in it, i'd say get the CPE....do those cheap/free mods for now (k&n, changing the tubing, swiss cheesing, etc), but if you really want a quality product with a bit of 'bling' factor, go for the CPE. i saved a bit of money by making one myself, but in the end, i have no way to easily test and tune my product. CPE has done the work for you, and everyone here agrees.

if you do go the way of the CPE, then make sure to save enough for the ECU piggyback too.
