Solara with is350 wheels (56k hella friggin Pics!!)

Well here they are.

Test fit: is350 wheels
18x8 +45 offset
18x8.5 +50 offset

When i got these wheels the rear were 255/40/18. Fronts were 225/40/18

The fronts fited fine, it was close to the strut but had like 3/4 of inch gap between tire and strut.

The rears on the other hand were straight rubbing. obviously, 255 were too wide. I say it woulda needed like a 20mm spacer for it to fit. Tires for sure would be 225-40-18 or something, not too sure.

They looked pretty good on the car. Oem but sporty look.

here are the many pics.

these are with the 18x8.5 +50 255-40-18.
I didnt lower the car because of the touching of tire and sturt. just pics.

Inside view. dont forget that the wheels arnt even seated properly on the hub:

These are the pics of both the is350 fronts on the car. So the front and back wheels are 18x8 +45 offset 225-40-18. Even with the fronts in the rear of the car, the tires were still rubbing. obviously..

here is the pics of the rub on the inside of rear. This is the 18x8 +45 with 225-20-18 in the rear of the solara.

So yea. For those who likes how the IS wheels look, there is possibility. Maybe these pics and info will inform some thats interested. I have these for sale btw.

Dude, what happened to your fender? Did you drop the jack and the tire cracked it?

Thats dremel failing on me. I was cutting the fender lip and the adapter that holds the disk broke. I didnt have time to find a new method and just left it.

Im planning on buying a frictional grinder and grind that sh1t down so i can pop 15mm spacers in my rear to get it flush with my other wheels.

as you can see.

Well, you've confirmed my theory that you shouldn't go higher than the stock offset

It's not BAD, but still, something about it still doesn't tickle my fancy.

your car looks sexy as hell with those wheels imho. a pop .. but a very subtle pop. I like those kinda rims that give a statement, but nothing too flashy or overdone.. imho, these rims do the perfect job... better than your current wheels, but thats just me.

haha i kno, there were not gonna fit. i just wanted to see how they looked on the solara.

Since my rims i have on is 19x7.5, i wanted to see how 8's would look and some very minimal tire stretch. It looks flush in the front.

Yea using different oem wheels can look very nice and be super cost effective. I got these brand new with tires super cheap.
