Have u ever seen that on a mirror?

Have u ever seen that on a mirror?

I dont want to look "ghetto" but I wonder if it could be a great alternative to an expensive aftermarket mirror with turn signal LED, more because it don,t exist for the Solara so I think i would need to make one custom (like I saw n this site, but very hard to build). Can I use any mirror and it can fit on the car?...

This is the thing I saw on ebay:

When I'm posting this question, I think it would look not so great.. hehe..

Jeff (PXLpainter) did this I think, and there was another member that did it, and you could send your mirrors to him to have it done.

I don't like the pic you posted (looks cheap), but the others I have seen here are very tasteful. If you want a turn signal in the spot that is in the pic you posted, you need to buy a car where it's OE, or it isn't going to look good. JMO.

Not too keen on the appearance of that one in your photo... but more importantly for me...

...I drive with alot of "intensity" a lot of the time... meaning FOCUS, as I drive pretty fast, but smooth... and I set ALL my mirrors, controls, seating position, etc... in a very specific "zone" so I have maximum visibility all around. (My rear view is a large, clear and accurate panoramic type...) and my peripheral vision and alert mind would be "distracted" by the FLASHING that would most certainly arise from the side mirror "vision horizon"... NOT where I want my focus as I am turning or begin to signal... ESPECIALLY at night.

I can certainly see the "apparent" safety benefits... like alerting your surrounding vehicles. I try to PRE-empt this need by "slipping" my way through others ASSUMING they are not seeing my approach or proximity to them, although MANY times I am also looking for visual and behavioral confirmation that another driver IS AWARE of how I am overtaking him... which is the GENERAL relationship between ME and the rest of the road out there.

...oops...

Yeah, a "NO" for me on the side-view FLASHING LIGHT SYNAPTIC DISTRACTOR modification. 8)

i find it very refreshing once in a while to pop my hand out and indicate my intent of change - of -lane like one trying to flag someone down.

on the contrary, go for it . i think it would look ...... different and nice, with the right shade .

Mikes Artic Frost was the entrepreneur that originally did this mod for Gen 2's and sells them. He wanted to use my car for a test fit on Gen 1's but we never got around to it.
