I have already read all the posts about disabling DRL.

I've got a '99 SEV6, so I need to go into the DRL Main Relay and disconnect the D6 connector, pin 23, EWD PG# 102/96 and insulate it.

I've found the relay and fuse box located behind my battery, and when I opened, it, I realized I didn't know which relay was the DRL Main Relay. Can anyone help me?

all that just to disconnect the DRL? or are you trying to do something else.....im pretty sure, no matter what year, disonnecting the DRL is just pulling th gray plug, and if ur like me and ur engine is covered in dust, that plug takes a lot of wiggling to disconnect.

hes trying to totally disconnect the DRL function completely, that gray connector still dosn do the trick, coz the lights go on anyways when its dark and u have no control, all i do is put the e-brake one notch up, coz the e-brake sensor is wut trips the drl's, i tried that whole drl relay, but i found that it was just way too much work, late

since the sensor is in the ebrake....

open up your center console and tape the switch so that the ebrake will always appear "on" although you put it down... get it?

Just disconnect the gray plug (for DRL) and the light sensor on the dash on the right side of the passenger cabin (right up against the windshield). That's the sensor that enables auto-on when it gets dim outside.

DRL specifically stands for daytiime running lights, which is where the lights stay on during the day but at a dimmer level. the feature for them to turn on automatically at night is completely different.

^ i did that once, and after i did that, that funky indicator light appeared on my dash. the one at the bottom of the speedo.

so i just plugged my twilight sensor back in; i don't mind it that much.

Just unplug the gray connector in the engine bay next to the passenger side strut bolts. It's easy.

i had trouble finding mine as well, but go to the very back left corner of your engine bay. there should be a bracket sort of thing that has a yellow caution sticker. in front of that, its a gray plug/connector thing. about 1 inch in wide, its sort of rounded rectangular shape, may take a lot of wiggling to get it undone. if all else fails, snap a top-view picture of the upper left area of your engine bay, email it to me, and ill point it out to you
