Been looking at upgrading the major ground points in my car. I can do the aternator to battery+, and the battery to negative chasis, but where is the original engine ground to chassis on a 2000 v6 solara. OR can someone tell me a good place to run the new wire. Was thinking about running the wire from the aternator bracket to chassis ground.

Tranny to battery holder...battery holder to chassis (stock ground point on Gen 2 and probably gen 1)

the ground points i'm running right now is as follows:

stock chassis ground (below air intake, driver side of the block) -----> battery neg

battery neg ------> new chassis ground/screwhole for old airbox

new chassis ground --------> throttle body

new chassis ground --------> engine block (driver side, found a nut that is at the edge of the block).

i only used those points at the time being since i had only a few pairs of terminal connectors. yesterday i did receive more wiring and connectors from knukonceptz though, so this weekend i'm going to go ahead and make a connection for the pass. side chassis ground (looks like it goes from the pass. side of the block to the pass. side chassis), as well as a couple other points.

PEOPLE WITH GROUND WIRES, what ground points did ya'll hook up to? also, would it be a good idea to upgrade the stock cables (battery+/-) with the 4AWG wire i have, or is the amp power wire i have not properly shielded for the load and the heat stress of being a main power wire?

One more question. I have 2 gauge running too my amps and a 2 gauge ground in the trunk should I use 2 gauge for my new grounds under the hood?

Yeah that shouldn't be a problem. Don't replace the original ground wires just run the new ones along side of it. It takes the path of least resistance.
