V6Performance Ground Wires Group Buy

V6Performance Ground Wires Group Buy

Postby 99V6solaraSE » Wed Oct 24, 2007 8:10 pm

I saw someone post a thread about groundwires not too long ago. Then i read though the past discussions about it. Which led be to this thread on v6performance. Theyre trying to start a group buy for the same wires they had before on here. Not just for solaras exclusively so it shouldn't be too hard to get it going. They got about 10 already.

So if anybody is slighty interested chime in.

I figured id give it a shot and exhaust all mods that i could possibly do NA. (until i can get a hold of a SC that is).

biggest waste of money ever.

good grounding straps do help. But not when you can make your own and have it look just as good with just as good quality for less than half the prices that they have up there.

Yeah dude just make your own it's not that hard.
Look at where the have them mounted and what not and get some bigger wires like 4 AWG and get some terminal clamps and mount them like they have for what they're offerin'.

goto knukonceptz.com they have the cheapest speaker power wire that i could find (as low as $0.69/ft, 4AWG).

then get the gold plated terminals and cut and crimp your own wires.

it's EASY, even if you have little to no auto mechanic knowledge. you just need to know how to cut wire, screw, and hammer, and did i mention it's easy? putting the wires together is almost as easy as installing them into your car (if you bought them).

it's a good mod, it's just not worth more than $50-60, which is about all you need to spend to make a good set of quality wires.

but if you decide to make'em yerself, don't cheap out by buying thinner wire (speaker wire), or terminals made of cheaper material. make sure the wire is at least 4AWG and the terminal connectors are gold plated. if you want to solder them together, you can do that too, but from what i've experienced so far, just using a hammer to crimp the terminals on works just as well.
