Snow Tires

Postby WendyD » Mon Jun 30, 2003 7:17 pm

Hello,
I live in Massachusetts and after last year's bad weather, I found
my 2000 4 cyl Solara very unreliable on snow and ice. i would like
to prepare better this year and my local tire dealer (Bridgestone)
suggested I put on 4 Blizzaks. Could someone give me an opinion
on this? Thanks.

I put on Blizzak WS50 during snowy days.

Remember to put your stock tires back once there's no snow... Blizzak wears out toooo fast in dry.

a lot of people buy steelies and put snow tires on steelies for winters..and OEM/aftermarket for summers...so rather than mounting different tires on your current rims', think about steelies for snow...just my $0.02

Agreed. I have snow tires on my OEMs and upgraded tires on my TRD Rims. When the first snowfall hits I don't have to sit in lines to get my snow tires mounted.
