ABS Light Trouble

I installed my springs today and for some reason my ABS Light is on. Does anyone know how to turn it off? Is there something I need to do?

Brother, the same thing happened to me... What happened was that when they installed my springs they left the wires hanging and screwed up the sensor. I took it to the dealership and it was 170 to fix. Warranty covered the parts. The problem is you have to find which sensor is broken.... Good luck....

The clip is on the strut and the wire connects to the caliper

sorry bro. Same thing happened to me. Someone told me they went to some junk yard and bought the abs sensor. I'm assuming that what my problem is. It's been about a year now, and the light is still on. Hopefully, I'll get around to it soon. haha.

This problem isn't as simple as just "reinserting" the wire back. If the contact is torn from the sensor, the wire and/or sensor needs to be replaced. This problem always arises from carelessness of not support the axle carriers when the strut/spring assemblies are taken out. Unless the suspension was self-changed, go back to the shop and tell them to pay for the damages, written down on paper.

Unforunetly i was the one who put the springs in. would I be able to go to Toyota and get warranty on it? If not how much would it cost?

not likely. as soon as they see the aftermarket springs in, they'll deny you.

You can try and take it to your dealer if the car is still under the warranty. Mention that there was a TSB about the fragility of the sensors also. Mine was actually covered under warranty even after they saw the lowering springs, so it would depend on your dealer.
