Smoking problems with S/C?

Hello all, those of you who have a S/C and have some BLACK smoke coming out of your tailpipe between shifts or at high revs (specialy with upgraded pulley) you should consider a catch can(burp can). I am putting one on mine tommorrow but I wont know how well it works until I break my new engine in. A lot of S/Ced ford users use them and they work very well. The post below will explain a lot and it will show how a Supra used it. http://cjsupra.kendra.com/PCV-Can.html

If you are getting black smoke, are you sure its not just running rich? Oil tends to make more of a blue smoke. Your ECU will richen up the mixture at high rpms. Just a thought though. You know more about superchargers than I do.

Yes you are correct I was running rich also and that caused my car to smoke more of a black colored smoke. It is good to run a little rich instead of lean so tipically you will smoke a little on the darker side if air/fuel is a little on the rich side.
