Trading in the Lara for a Lara?

Found this on autotrader.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=233036997&dealer_id=57796744&car_year=1999&num_records=&systime=1194810914479&start_year=1981&engine=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&certified=&fuel=&body_code=7&only_price=1&search_type=both&distance=100&marketZipError=false&search_lang=&first_record=76&make=&color=&page_location=findacar::ispsearchform&min_price=0&body_style=CONVERT&body_style=COUPE&body_style=HATCH&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=2&sort_type=priceDESC&address=30043&only_photo=1&advanced=y&end_year=2008&pager.offset=75&transmission=Manual&doors=&max_price=10000&cardist=43

Going to Union City sometime this week to check it out, its about an hour drive. If its legit i might end up selling my SLE for this. Its listed as an SLE

but doesn't have the JBL audio or automatic climate control, plus its a 5spd so it has to be an SE. Has the TRD kit except for the front valences

(which can probably only be found at the top of Mount Everest.) Can't tell if he changed the spark plugs, same wires though. And no CAI, just a sr,

doesn't look like Injen though. Also doesn't look like it has a boost gauge either. Looks clean though.

Anybody know who's car this use to be? Cant ever remember there being one like that around me.

What do you guys think?

Not a bad price at all. V6 spd + TRD supercharger. It has potential.

Looks nice, as long as the engine is good why not, you should be able to get close to that if your sell your current one.

wow, thats an awesome deal... if anything, you could buy it, sell the parts separate, then sell the car stock

I say go for it!

it is a nice ride, but it does have a SALVAGE title~ i was looking at it a few months ago, it was on autotrader for $7500 and i saw that it resurfaced here a few weeks ago! looks nice from the pics, the guy told me that it was hit in the rear, but the fix was good! i did some research on the place that owns it and that is what they do, they buy wrecked cars repair them and then resale! good luck tho man!

Thx for the info. I'm going down there on Thursday to check it out.

I saw it a few months ago too, it surprised me that it reappeared since it was a good deal. Now they are selling it for $800 less. So i guess they couldn't get a buyer.

Shocar4 i'll make sure to ask about the salvaged title, and hopefully they will tell me the same thing they told you, that it was only body damage.

^^ check it out look under the car to see if the car was
on a frame machine. check body panels, pull the carpeting
back in the trunk and check out rear quarter panels ,
do the finger paint check, to see where it was painted..
look for eye catching things.. Just remember that not every
seller tells you the truth about the car.. most of all take it
for a ride and see if the car pulls or sways to one side..
Good luck man , just don't rush into it and end up buying a
pos that can be dangerous to drive
