i like my 18s juts perfectly. not bad, but for sure not my cup of tea.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

Dood, chill. First of all, don't post your pics and ask for people's opinion if you don't have the balls to hear the comments about it...

It's not the dia of the wheel in your case that people are commenting on - it's the overall look/stance and style of the wheels that some find off a bit.

If you're going for that look and you're happy with it, then that's all that matters - just don't expect everyone to jump on board unless they're from Oakland! ;)

most guys on here with aftermarket wheels run 18's...IMO, it is the best combination of size and functionality on a gen 1. Just face it, if you ask for opinions and post pics, you're going to get a mixed bag of responses. Just deal with it, everyone has different opinions. Ultimately, you shouldn't let others opinions affect your modding decisions.

3 inch drop?!

that doesn't look like 3 inches. i have coilovers on 18's with no gap and thats not even at 3 inches....

a kit would make the car look lower....there are a few people with 19's and a kit. looks much better that way.

Looks dropped to me

Postby 2000bluepearl » Fri Nov 30, 2007 9:15 pm

When I had my 17's i think my tires were actually to big (combination of the offset and the tire profile made me scrape the wheel well too often). Then i got 19's and it seems like i have more room in the wheel well now. So it does not look as low anymore. But his looks lowered pretty good. I got coil overs as well.
