Alteeza's - Carbon or Gunmetal

I'm sure everyone has seen the Carbon Fiber Alteeza Tail Lights, but what about the Gunmetal? If you haven't I've got a link for you:
http://www.racerwheel.com/rt100173.html

Now is it my eyesight or do they seem almost brown-ish? I'm guessing it's the reflection of the gunmetal color with the acutal red lights inside of the casing but has anyone seen them installed on a car? I've got a black SEV6 and I can't imagine having tail lights with a brownish hue. If you had a black solara, what would you do?

I have the carbon fibers on mine. I have a hunch that the tails in this picture are reflecting something to give them that hue. I don't think anyone on here has installed the gunmetals, but they could just be ducking the haters :). Anyways to see the Carbon Fiber ones you can check my Cardomian site. Maybe you should just buy a set of each as they are down to like a hundred bucks on eBay :).

LuckyVal: If you got the 99-01 solara, id keep the taillights you have... IMO their much better than the altezzas that all the civics and integras have... not to mention the condensation you have to worry about... but hey wutever floats your boat!

heh, heh...now who would do a thing like that..

All the various pics ive seen of the gunmetal ones look like dirty chrome ones. Check ebay for varying pics, though ive never seen them ON the car.

What about the condensation? I can see how it could happen but out of everyone I know who has them installed on Honda's and what not, they've never had the problem - Does anyone that has Solara Alteeza's notice the problem of condensation building in them?

You can more or less fix this with a good application of silicon around the edges. It's just like sealing up the clear corners except you use more silicone :).

You must have gotten a good set Flash, mine were really bad about condensation. I guess this is an example of the wonderful quality control you see in aftermarket parts .
