Dawgs, I looked into this and Oteck (the guy with the 3mz MR2) suggested to keep the 3MZ knock sensors since the 3mz ones are designed for the bore and the resonance of the block.


They are different though, not the screw on type like the 1mz.

oh yeah btw, did that guy "oteck" ever finished that swap? was he the one that had the questions about the immobilizer and the backward 3mz in the MR2?

Thanks Van. And that is correct... He does have it running, he used 1mz vvt-i heads to be able to delete the DBW, the es300 dual throttle bodies and a 1mz vvti ecu.
