i needed advice on what brands are best for a couple of different things.

1) a spray that makes the water bead on your windows so its easier to seem, need it especially for rear window

2)wax, polish

3)tire shine

4) wiper blades (unless they're all the same)

Thanks

1) don't know

2) NuFinish - best stuff made. it's a polish that can last up to 1 year, but I put it on every 3 months. It also resists heat better than wax, so when it's above 90 out you won't have it melt off.

3) Armor all is good, so is Eagle. From what I have noticed most of the brand names look the same. Just make sure if you have a custom finish on your rims that whatever you use doesn't react with it, dulling the finish. It should say on the product what it might react with.

4) i use the OEM ones from Toyota. not sure what will work better without changing the racks for the blades also.

Hope this helps.

allrite, thanks. so im guessing nufinish is a polish, how about a wax for the protection? also still need to know about the water beading, cuz when it rains, the water doesnt run off my back windshield and its very hard to see. its not only a nuisance, but its dangerous cuz im scared of changing lanes and not seeing someone coming up behind me.

theres a line of products called rain-x, im pretty sure they have a product that allows water to bead off glass, go shop around

as for tire shine, ive hated every product ive used so far, because it looks amazing for the first few days, but i guess they attract dirt because afterwards they look dirty and browned (moreso than when you dont use anything on the tires)

1) Rain-X. Use it when i know its going to rain! I also have a fog-sponge (used it more often when i was in wisconsin)....in the winter when your windows fog up, this sponge prevents new condensation...hence keeping em' clean...i use that sponge to clean my interior windows...

2) Meguiar's products. (however, prior to that i was Mother's fan). Both are good

3) I use armorall and STP (whichever is on sale).

4a) wiperblades: I get them changed from firestone stores (price includes installation)
4b) Wiperinserts: Toyota brand

I use Triple Edge wiper blade inserts. I have had really good luck with them for the last 7 years or so. I bought a set for my Solara the day I got it, and they still haven't failed on me :). I convinced one of my friends to spend the extra 10 bucks and try them on his Neon last week, as his were old blades had split. We have had major storms all week here, and yesterday he actually called me on his cell to tell me how good they were LOL.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

1) Rain-X...it does work. I live in Seattle and use it all the time.

2) I use Zimol, it makes the car really shine.

3) Meguire's Tire Gel, it actually lasts a long time

4) My friend had PIAA wipers. They seem to work pretty well.

1. Definately use Rain-x. You only need to apply it once a month or so and it really works. They also have the anti fog stuff as jhbhatia which works very well too.

2. I'm currently using mothers 3-step wax and I have no complaints. It really makes my dark blue look great but i think i'm going to switch to meguiars gold class.

3. DEFINATELY check out simonz tire shine. Its not a spray on product, its a cream that comes with a sponge. It lasts longer and shines better than any other product I've ever used. Also if you still prefer a spray on, use stoners "more shine, less time". It doesn't rub or puddle like armor all and the other brands. I get to try all the new products because my dad owns a hardware store and I definately reccomend Simonz, I've hooked all my friends too

Do the switch...I know i did it...old wax/polish comes off the car nicer, and you don't have to buff that much to get the same shine!

1) RainX, the make a spray, but you still have to apply it the same as the squirt bottle...with all the buffing, but its good stuff either way.

2) Meguiar's Gold Class is pretty money and doesn't powder up so much when you buff it, which is nice. With stuff like Turtle Wax, you get powder in all those hard to reach cracks.... I also tried the Eagle One spray wax and it works pretty good for those "in-between-waxing-washes" where you wanna kinda refresh your shine. If you polish, just use use something light..like Turtle Polishing compound..its really all in the way you do it. Make sure you polish linearly from front to back so you dont get swirls

that would just be the most sadly ironic thing ever if that was the case. Oh well, if you do, use the low gloss stuff so you don't get a big reflection of your dash in your field of vision.

Don't use touch up paint unless you are very very maticulous. When I first got my car I tried to touch up and it never matched well
